Ledaal Martia is a Senator of the House Ledaal caucus in the Deliberative. She is the younger sister of Ledaal Saturnia, elder sister of Ledaal Yupitara, Ledaal Venosa and Ledaal Mercurio, and amongst their positions as so-called ‘City Maidens’ is known as the ‘City Maiden of Battles’.

In appearance, Martia shows the blessings of Mela, but while not bulky she shows more muscle than many of her peers, the result of constant martial practice. Her hair is kept cropped short, scars gained in youth during a Wyld Hunt left undisguised by cosmetics, stance ever strong and impatient. In dress, Martia bears much of her expansive panoply over court dress or Senatorial robes, most distinctively the plate armour Victor’s Brocade, joined by her Bellsword and the powerbow Forever True. Save where the Guardians block bearing arms onto the Deliberative floor, she also bears a decorative dagger of red jade which once belonged to a now-perished husband from House Cathak.

As ‘City Maiden of Battles’, Martia is known to be heavily involved in military matters, having served many years in the Imperial Legions and the associated departments of the Thousand Scales. In the Senate, she was a leading voice in pushing for the Legion Control Act. It had been expected that Martia would retire from the Senate and be appointed strategoi of the 17th Imperial Legion, but the rebellion of that force under its current strategoi Saloy Hin occurred before House Ledaal had finalized such appointments, and she has remained in the Imperial City. Few would deny she has taken the matter personally, and her energy in demanding the Deliberative deploy overwhelming might to annihilate the 17th seems unending.
