Bellsword

The Bellsword is a ceremonial weapon forged and granted to each graduate of the House of Bells, marking their graduation from the school.

The bellsword is a straight sword, not intended for combat. Its pommel and guard of polished gold, with a small inset of jade bearing the pentagram mon of the Realm, its colour matching the graduates aspect. Its grip is bound with siaka scales, and at the end of the pommel hangs a miniature bell of bronze. However, the blade itself is forged from the finest folded steel, more than capable of dealing death should the need arise... the House of Bells has no room for frivolity even in a weapon meant for display. Bronze letters inset into the blade list the name of the graduate and the year-number of their fang.
