Azure Coast

Azure Coast is an island of the Western Oceans, southeast of Scarpfall, northwest of Redspar Island and west of Three Peak Island & Wavecrest. During the Shogunate Era, the island had been home to a number of villas used by the Dragonblooded as vacation homes, taking advantage of the island’s fine sand beaches, but the upheavals of the Great Contagion saw the estates shattered and sunk beneath the waves, taking with them the western half of the island’s long crescent-shape. Today, the population feeds itself through fishing and harvesting local fruit, and is able to accumulate tools and luxuries beyond those normal amongst its neighbours through trade in valuable perfumes created using fragrant local flowers.

This valued commodity meant that Azure Coast had long been a nominal tributary of the Realm, offering up perfumes to the Satrap of Wavecrest on an irregular basis. In recent years this tribute and the perfume trade were disrupted by the attack of a Forsaken Anathema out of nearby Redspar Island. That Anathema slew the leaders and warriors of the island, bringing its population into service, but survivors joined emissaries of Dolphin Harbour (which, in a twist of fate, had itself planned conquest of Azure Coast) in traveling to Wavecrest to petition the Realm for support.

When the Imperial Navy and the Wyld Hunt defeated the Forsaken, the Realm filled the hole in local leadership by commanding the island be annexed directly to Dolphin Harbour. House Peleps also claimed a large swathe of the island directly, and has begun raising materials from old Shogunate villas to construct a new Dynastic retreat, while working with Dolphin Harbour overseers to expand perfume production.
