Three Peak Island

Three Peak Island is an island of the Western Ocean, northeast of Redspar Island and west of Wavecrest. It is named for its geography, three small mountains rising to surround a sheltered harbour with easy access to fresh water. For centuries, this excellent location has been used by vessels of the Imperial Navy and the Realm’s Merchant Marine to shelter from storms and resupply from a small Navy station in the harbour, while the surrounding mountain slopes are home to tribal inhabitants whose economies are little more than subsistence fishing and gathering.

In recent years, that station came under attack by the forces of a Forsaken Anathema out of nearby Redspar Island, who overcame the defenders, slaying their Dragonblooded commander and looting significant quantities of supplies, as well as converting the islanders to its service.

A Wyld Hunt and Navy expedition out of Wavecrest eventually ousted the Anathema from Redspar and reconquered the Three Peaks station, but a matter of some controversy emerged in the wake: it was found that, before being drawn to worship the Anathema, the island tribes had been involved in worship of the Navy commander stationed there, in flagrant violation of Immaculate stricture. The Order accused the Navy of securing supplies for the station through a heretical cult, the Navy denied this and laid blame on a wayward officer whose spiritual weakness had led him to defeat. The matter became briefly heated, before the Navy agreed to bear the costs of raising temples on Three Peaks and Azure Coast for use of the monks now assigned there.
