Ragara Jaqal

Ragara Jaqal is an officer of the 14th Imperial Legion, commanding its Special Operations Talon. An arrogant womaniser, Jaqal is also a skilled duelist, the most martially-acclaimed graduate of the Palace of Three Crowns until the coming of Ragara Farath. Jaqal is a graduate of the House of Bells, though few speak of him as much of a tactician. He is a close ally of Ragara Heral on the House's Council of Elders, a pfact which has secured his position despite some friction with his strategoi Ragara Iwao and a tendency to foist administrative work onto his subordinates: before his promotion to lead the Staff Office and oversee reforms across the Ragara Legions, Ragara Rahiro served as one such subordinate, and successfully implemented several reforms to improve efficiency in the SpecOps Talon.

Jaqal's agression and love of duelling have resulted in several deaths at his hands, including a fellow student at the Three Crowns (for which House Ragara paid substantial compenation). Most recently he cut down the Outcaste Thousand Scales bureaucrat Azure Sea, an official with the Ministry of the Imperial Gardens, over the affections of a concubine.

Jaqal is older brother to Ragara Jenaq, and son of Senator Ragara Falahati by Cynis Svanad. He bears an impressive panoly which includes a suit of fire dragon armour and an Orichalcum Reaper Daiclave.
