The Temple of the Rolling Surf is located on the island of Pinapha amongst the Southwestern seas, where it sits atop a confluence of dragon lines. The manse-temple is a tall pagoda of shining black stone, rising like a spear into the sky, even as its eaves, doors, and windows reject all parallel lines in favour of curving shapes and formations.

The Temple is dedicated to Danaa'd, the Immaculate Dragon of Water, controlled by the Immaculate Order since long before the Great Contagion. It is currently used as a monastic retreat, where Immaculate monks can devote themselves to meditation and self-perfection without material or social distractions.

The temple was built to honour the Immaculate of Water's purported undertakings on Pinapha, as spoken of in The Pinapha Texts, one of the Immaculate Apocrypha. As with many of the oldest Immaculate temples distant from the Blessed Isle, though the Rolling Surf accepts the authority of the Palace Sublime it is home to some theological variations, and many monks who spend their lives at the temple delve deep into the mysteries of the apocrypha, often calling on the Mouth of Peace to accept the holy nature of books and passages as parts of the Immaculate Texts.
