Pinapha is a rocky island whose poor soil can support only a sparse existence for its inhabitants. They farm mostly small root vegetables and Western Plums from gnarled trees, and fish the rich schools in the waters to the south, pounding them into paste and drying them in the sea air to form preserved blocks which are sliced and mixed with water to make the seafood broth that is a staple at every meal on the island.

Pinapha is located to the west of Sushima, northeast of Murak, and north of the Winding Isles.

Pinapha is notable for its place in The Pinapha Texts, Immaculate Apocrypha conveying the lessons of the Immaculate Dragon Danaa'd, and telling that the Immaculate Dragon herself set foot here. The Immaculate Order has thus valued the island since before the Great Contagion, its population quite devout and, some have observed, better-versed in the Immaculate Texts than those residing on the Blessed Isle.

Pinapha is home to the Temple of the Rolling Surf, an Immaculate monastery and religious retreat dedicated to the Immaculate Dragon of Water.
