Peleps Gurbaxa is a Water-aspected Senator of the House Peleps Deliberative caucus. Born to a peasant family on the Isle, Gurbaxa was purchased and adopted into House Peleps following an unexpected Exaltation.

A devout Immaculate, Gurbaxa maintains careful tonsure and is known for a strict religious diet and use of Immaculate-sanctioned textiles, though unlike colleague Senator Peleps Fuma she expects such things to be transformed so they are also fit for Dynastic consumption… her well-known expertise on refined ‘Immaculate’ Dynastic cuisine means her opinion on the foods served at the Chrysanthemum Banquet carries great weight, meaning she often secures an invite… but also that her own household staff are poached by House Mnemon to fill their kitchens for that occasion.

While not eternally opposed to Thousand Scales spending, Gurbaxa is considered to be conservative in her view of the Immaculate Faith and the Order. She has been a longstanding defender of the Immaculate Stipend and the rights of the Palace Sublime (though, a few have noted, she has never decried the occasional calls to return the Order’s heart to the Imperial City). Theological unity seems a key concern, senator Gurbaxa a voice calling for censure and punitive measure against ‘innovations’ in the Faith which diverge from the mainstream. This includes not only the common Immaculate Heresies and lesser regional cults but warnings that the ‘individualist’ line rising under influence of those such as nestor Peleps Deham goes too far.
