Cybele

Cybele is the god of Motherly Love, serving in the Division of Birth of the Bureau of Heaven’s Department of Abstract Matters.

Cybele was the first child Ilithya-Lura bore. Unlike the Daimyo of Birth, she is driven by compassion for newborns and children, caring for the spirits birthed by her mother-mistress, nursing and teaching them, finding them a place within the bureaucracy of the Division so she might continue to watch over them.

Cybele is able to translate Ilithya-Lura's birthing screams to help other gods to understand her. She dislikes the alliances with the gods of pestilence and war her Daimyo has formed, but she lacks the power or the nature to oppose her mother’s decision.
