Cathak Karr is a Senator of the House Cathak caucus in the Deliberative. He is known for a love of (and strict standards for) hunting parties, and for keeping to a restrictive Immaculate diet, including eschewing consumption of wine and other Alcohol in favour of lemon water, though he is not considered strictly devout in other areas.

Karr's record in debate has seen him decrying officials of the Thousand Scales whose actions he deems more in interest of their House than of the Realm… though many note his family members are spared condemnation, and in voting he holds close to the House Cathak line of conservative militarism. Karr has shown support for establishment of Deliberative committees to oversee the actions of the Thousand Scales.

If Karr has shown a personal agenda in the Senate it is in relation to hunting and environmental preservation. He has openly bemoaned the loss of natural landscapes on the Blessed Isle and the increasing shortage of larger predators once local there, the reduction in numbers depriving hunters of appropriate quarries, and made attempts to pass legislation on the matter, most comprehensively the failed RY749 Bill of Virtue and Conservation against the Stain of Excess. In recent years, he has decried the Agricultural Subsidy Bill proposals of V'neef Tapan, stating that they would see the 'last vestiges of noble nature on the Isle buried in an endless birthwave of peasant filth and worthless rice', while voicing tentative support for the Agricultural Subsidy legislation of V'neef Kenet provided it is amended to provide increased subsidies for the maintenance and expansion of hunting preserves.
