From the writings of Foundation Apex, archivist to Ledaal Visaren of Tuchara:

Among the most notable figures of the early Shogunate Era, Ausang Torokanu’s history has been clouded by myth and legend. Jalan Dai’s Fire Chronicle places her birth on the day of the Usurpation as the by-blow of a Sidereal-Terrestrial marriage, while Tula the Elder’s Record of the Nineteen Shoguns states that she was born immaculately from the womb of Mela, who tutored her in the art of Sorcery. She first appears in reputable histories roughly twenty years before the founding of the Shogunate, acting as counselor and lover to Raikuru of Telben, tempering his rashness and aiding him in strategy and statecraft. Torokanu was instrumental in defeating the Nine Winds Coalition and establishing Raikuru as Shogun. She has also been attributed with the writing of the White Words Codex and in some accounts the founding of the Versino.

Many of these tales are disputed by the current Immaculate Order, which deemed many of Torokanu’s works on the Will of Hesiesh to be heresies during the COUNCIL OF NOTCEA in the wake of the Great Contagion.
