Ishida Workshop of Immaculate Precision

The Ishida Workshop of Immaculate Precision is an artisan workshop located in the East 10th Ward of the Imperial City, operated by the Qar Patrician Clan under the patent of House Ledaal and personal patent & supervision of Senator Ledaal Ishida, who is credited with design or rediscovery of several of their mechanisms. The Workshop is Creation’s largest producer of measuring and weighing devices, such as the scales used to weigh goods for commerce and moneychanging, as well as precision instruments for thaumaturgical and sorcerous applications.

To conduct such work, the Workshop requires significant licensing and authorization from various ministries of the Thousand Scales, which has turned to its advantage: the Qar clan is well connected and has many members serving in the Righteous and Accountable Ministry of Weights and Measures and the Secretariat of Minor Charms and Baubles, making it simpler for those seeking measurement devices and references to contract the Workshop rather than attempting to go through the licensing process themselves, while the patent of a Great House and the participation of an Exalted Dynast keeps the attentions of the Immaculate Order at bay.

In recent decades, however, the Workshop has begun to see its fortunes slipping, with the ascent of the rival Waris clan to control the Ministry of Measures, and increasing oversight of the Secretariat by the White Ministry under Mnemon Darik

The current overseer of the factory is Qar Ubledi.
