Tepet Marek Mavariq, born RY418, is an elderly Senator of the House Tepet caucus in the Deliberative.

In his youth, Mavariq served in the 47th Imperial Legion in Harbourhead, serving as Legion duelist for several years. During a rebellion there, Mavariq was overcome and captured, held prisoner for some time, until he at last managed to break free and escape.

Mavariq has long been conservative in his voting record, arguing for reductions in tariffs and opposing expanded funding for the Thousand Scales. An exception to this is his vocal supporter of the Imperial Legions, where he has regularly called for larger budgets and increased spending on deployment of Magitech weaponry. Though he was once a powerful orator, the onset of age has been thought by some to have slowed him.

Senator Mavariq suffered mild social embarrassment at a soiree for Tepet officers who were participating in the Parade of Seven Shattered Helms of RY768. Shortly thereafter, an attempt was made on the life of Tepet Jozan, whom Mavariq had accused of being responsible for the incident… this has led to rumours the Senator sought vengeance, though as yet no official charges have been leveled.
