Time: First day of Ascending Wood.

Location: Imperial City.

Host: Formerly the Scarlet Throne. Presently individual Great House Legion sponsors.

Invitations: Public.

Theme and Activity: Once, this was a day of celebration, where each Imperial Legion across Creation sent a portion of its elite 1st Dragon and its warstrider contingent to march before the Empress along the boulevards of the Imperial City. Held to commemorate the day of the Imperial Proclamation, that text was recited loudly in school houses and ministries, while the Great Houses presented the Scarlet Empress with lavish gifts in honour of her past victories against those who dared defy the might of the Realm. In her beneficence, the Empress even granted the least of society, the Disenfranchised, leave to approach the temples of Sextes Jylis in hope the Wood Dragon might find them worthy of healing before their current incarnations had passed.

Since her disappearance, this day has rapidly become muted and in present days sees little save an increase in penitents at the temples of Sextes Jylis and a few local Legion talons taking to the boulevards with banners unfurled.

History:

765 – Planning responsibility for the Parade of Seven Shattered Helms is delegated to the Legion holding garrison duty in the Imperial City.

764 – The Legion soldiers on parade are joined by House mercenaries and sorcerers, who assist with transition of Legion responsibility from the Thousand Scales to the Great Houses. The Deliberative grants seven outcaste generals the great gift of appointment into the Immaculate Order, where they might gain true enlightenment of their souls through monastic solitude.
