Tribe of the Steadfast Step

The Tribe of the Steadfast Step is a barbarian tribe of the northeastern Threshold, amidst the deep coniferous forests. They follow the animal spirit known as the Sloth Avatar, who dwells amongst them to offer them guidance and leadership… as an act of devotion, the Tribe fights to defend Giant Arboreal Sloths against predators and hunters, and in return the sloths guide the tribe (slowly) to rich fruit vines and nurse the tribe’s children along with their own.

The Tribe of the Steadfast Step holds particular enmity towards the Haltan Republic, though geography sees them more often in conflict with its buffer states in Fenta, Ascending Spruce, and the Shandir Woods, and occasional raids which reach the Haltans are easily flanked and driven off.
