Thousandfold Transformation Office

The Thousandfold Transformation Office was a department of the Thousand Scales accountable for identifying opportunities, reviewing processes and delivering actionable recommendations to optimize the Realm’s efforts and accelerate its ability to implement its strategic pillars and imperial priorities. Essentially, rethinking and redesigning bureaucratic processes to create lasting and continuous improvements that ultimately increase stability and preserve the Realm.

In practice, the Office does not seem to have had an impact on the Thousand Scales or its operations, failing to produce any reports or revisions which were implemented, nor even ones worthy of note. Records indicate it was staffed by a rotating cast of the Empress’ lovers, and would-be-Senators she favoured but who lacked the requisite time in the Thousand Scales.

The Office was a casualty of the budget cuts that rippled through the Scales in the wake of the Scarlet Empress’ disappearance, absorbed directly into the Imperial Treasury by order of minister Bal Keraz. While the few officials included in the department were either dismissed or reassigned within the Treasury, the former minister, Ascendant Edge, vanished when Treasury officials stormed the Office headquarters to seize its records, and has yet to be located. Some whisper that the Office might have been used as a front for All-Seeing Eye funding and activities within the Thousand Scales.
