Serene Glade

Serene Glade is god of Natural Tranquility, serving on the staff of Thelmarin the god of Eastern Peace and Twilight in the Bureau of Heaven’s Department of Abstract Matters. Serene Glade serves as Factotum to Thelmarin, caring for correspondence and administering her superior’s office.

Where evening mist settles over blossoming meadow, calming creatures in their burrows, where sunlight dapples the forest floor through the leaves to give a warrior pause, this is the peace of Serene Glade’s purview. Glade herself resembles a woman with features both pleasant and seamlessly calming, who at first might appear to be akin to a Dryad, barked skin and blossoming limbs, but a second glance reveals smooth translucent skin which has been worked and tattooed with intricate patterns that evoke the Eastern forests, branches & leaves embracing and intertwining. These tattoos themselves are constantly in motion, though slow and subtle, as if wafting in a gentle breeze.

Glade is not an ineffective secretary, undertaking work on behalf of Thelmarin slowly but competently. However, tranquility does not mean a lack of ambition: Serene Glade very much intends to see herself promoted. Her own perspective towards peace aligns very much with that of the god of Western Peace, Calm Serenity, and she has been quietly exploring how willing the God of Western Peace might be to assist in the ouster of his rival and her superior.
