Nellens Alyana

Nellens Alyana is a 26-year old aspect of Earth, born into House Nellens in the Imperial City. Her House made efforts to see her admitted to the Academy for Cultivation of Youthful Talents, with much lobbying and bribery, when that school began to widen the scope of those it admitted, but the parents of both the existing students and new ones from outside the Scarlet Prefecture were united in barring a Nellens presence in the student body. She was instead admitted to the Palace of Three Crowns, where her marks were considered passable but not exemplary. Rejecting the City entirely, she summered at the Palace of Plunging Cataracts, from where she walked and hiked throughout the prefecture. It was during one of these journeys that she that she paid a visit to the ruins of Kleinen Har, which awoke an intense interest in the fallen relics of the First Age and the arts of sorcerous artifice. When she demanded to be sent to the Heptagram, her family was thrilled... each Nellens Dragonblood's power needed to be at its utmost, and sorcery was a key and respected talent.

Finding the rote forms and equations of the Kinetropic School unapealling, Alyana pursued a more traditional sorcerous education at the Heptagram, study partner and lover to several classmates (including Ledaal Dzuchi, before his expulsion). The master of the Heptagram's magitech program, Ledaal Montegnin, considered her a student 'entirely without vision, and not worth the time of training.'

Following graduation from the Heptagram, Alyana returned to Juche to serve her family's interests.
