Ledaal Dzuchi is an Air-aspected Dynast of House Ledaal, with a reputation for his work in artifice. Dzuchi attended primary school at the Arjuf Foundational Collegium, and went on to study sorcery and Magitech artifice at the Heptagram.

At the Heptagram, Dzuchi's brilliance was difficult to deny, but his theories and approaches put him frequently at odds with classmates (particularly Ragara Thannak-Tyros), teachers, and at times the Kinetropic School of sorcery entire. These conflicts came to a head when Dzuchi and Thannak-Tyros were working on a group project: unbeknownst to his project partner, Dzuchi modified the design by switching out several components with loosely-related substitutes of ostensibly greater power. The resulting artifact was highly unstable, and a devastating explosion was prevented only when Thannak-Tyros diffused the device, the more contained explosion of motonic energies that resulted delivering terrible injuries to the Ragara and marking Dzuchi's face with a scar that cost him an eye.

At least, this is the account of Thannak-Tyros himself, accepted by the teachers of the Heptagram. Dzuchi maintains that the system was self-stabilizing, and there would have been no explosion at all had Thannak-Tyros not moved in to disrupt the device... the Ragara's wounds are self-inflicted through his own stupidity, that imbecilic decision taking Dzuchi's eye as well.

The incident resulted in Dzuchi's expulsion from the Heptagram, though he holds this to be because the teachers of the school were visionless and he had already mastered what little they were capable of teaching. The Ledaal artificer moved on to the Scavenger Lands, working with his grandmother Ledaal Catala in the study and recovery of artifacts. At this Dzuchi has been one of the most highly successful agents of the Rings, recovering artifacts that have bolstered House armouries and those of the Imperial Legions. He has also worked to apply his theories of artifact design, that artifacts tend towards unity and accept component substitutions readily (and that the key to their greatest power is not to design or build such things from scratch, but to locate the most powerful components from times past and incorporate them into existing systems). His personal creations have not yet sold as well as artifice scavenged unmodified, but he holds a number of his own creations in his personal panoply, perhaps the most notable being the Invincible Embrace of Power and Glory Ascendant in Triumph Unrestrained by Chains of Ignorance and Cowardice.
