Ledaal Farani is a senator of House Ledaal’s caucus within the Deliberative. A native of the city of Arjuf, Farati made her fortune as a trader and Scavenger Lord based out of that city, before entering politics.

Farani has long been a vocal supporter of autonomy for Arjuf Dominion, accusing the Thousand Scales of stealing the hard-earned prosperity of the Dominion and wasting it on a bloated bureaucracy and support for lazy and unworthy peasants in the prefectures.

Even before joining the Senate, Farani had loudly called for the Dominions to be granted separate local bureaucracies and treasuries, which would answer directly to the Scarlet Empress… while some whisper that House Ledaal shares this aim, the vocal nature of these calls proved an embarrassment, and when the House attempted to quiet their scion the Empress granted her immediate appointment to the Deliberative… some think to ensure House Ledaal’s continued embarrassment, some to pressure the bureaucrats of the Scales, with Farani herself certain the choice voiced the Empress’ quiet support for her agenda.

In voting, Farani has been consistent in pushing her agenda, supporting any actions which reduce the reach of the central bureaucracy. A skilled (and often aggressively insulting) orator, her ardour for the rights of Dominions saw her earn many friends and legislative allies within the ranks of the House Tepet caucus in previous decades, though since the disastrous War with the Bull that caucus has become less enthusiastic for their own Dominion to take on greater responsibilities. The disappearance of the Scarlet Empress has allowed Farani to push further than ever before, seeing no reason that Arjuf Dominion should remain beholden to the next person who sits on the Scarlet Throne.
