Forest Baboon

Forest Baboons are large simians with moss-green fur and keen intelligence, which dwell amongst the coniferous forests of the Northeastern Threshold. Nearly all have the intelligence to be classed by the Haltan Republic as ‘san-beasts’, with many being ‘ata-beasts’ possessed of human levels of intelligence.

Because they are so close to humans in capability, Forest Baboons are welcomed in Halta, where they live and work amongst other citizens.

Forest Baboons are omnivorous, their diet consisting of fruit, nuts, small birds, Emerald Monkeys, and Hatra. They are hunted in turn by some human tribes and by Tree Pards.
