Fallaha Calin was a hero of the Shogunate Era, though details of life and accomplishments have become lost over the centuries. It is known that Gens Fallaha was a potent family in the region of the River Province and the Shogunate Court during the early Shogunate, surviving in a lessened form with a final branch fading away after being forced to flee Lookshy following a failed political maneuver. Calin is widely credited with being the hero who felled the Steel Colossus of Calin, and it is for this deed that his name has been passed on to that Colossus and the city of Port Calin (from where it was granted to the Calin Shogunate itself).

According to Immaculate histories, widely promulgated in the Realm, Calin was said to have accompanied the Immaculate Dragon Pasiap in the war against the Anathema. Calin was said to have been the first of Pasiap’s students to master the lesson of Jade Steel, in forging of the grand goremaul Crushing Weight of Insight.
