It has been far too long since we have spoken, my friend, and I must take the blame. Pangu is so close to the City, and yet so far, and you must bear the slave pens at the Palace of Trees while I spend my time amongst our old haunts in the Imperial Palace.

I had heard mention in passing from your parents that you will be making a journey to visit the City in the coming month, and while I know duties can weigh heavy, I had hoped you might make the journey earlier so we might toast the end of the Earth season together in the Palace and reminisce on old times with old friends.

In times of trouble such as these, the comfort of dear friends side-by-side burns brightest.
