Cathak Meladus is an air-aspected Dynast. An accomplished smith of mundane armour even in his primary school days, Meladus trained at the Heptagram's Kinetropic School of artifice under Ledaal Montegnin, sharing several classes with Ragara Thannak-Tyros and Ledaal Dzuchi. At school, Meladus had a great interest in Magitech armours, but a more conservative approach than either Dzuchi or Thannak-Tyros (though the daring of the two was markedy different in nature).

He currently serves as a scalelord in the 1st Imperial Legion, commanding the 3rd Duelist Scale of the Legion's Special Operations talon under Cathak Ain. A skilled armourer and sorcerer-engineer, Meladus leads maintenance operations for the Legion's Dragon Armours, as well as piloting his own such suit, a Most Terrifying Armor of the Air Dragon.

Meladus attended the Salon of Glory Taking Flight on RY768 22 Descending Earth, and paid a call on Tyros at the Deep of Carved Stone DE27, where his Air Dragon Armour proved the lesser against Project Elemental Modularity Phase 1 v1.0 in a demonstration bout. He was also in attendance for the Reopening of the Cathedral of Battle on the 1st Ascending Wood.
