Blue Saffron

Blue Saffron is a merchant of The Guild, serving as factor-ambassador to The Realm in the Imperial City and senior Guild member on the Blessed Isle. The job of a factor in the Guild is always a blend of trader, feudal lord, and diplomat, but as ambassador Saffron's daily work is dominated by the last far more than most: relations between the Guild and the Scarlet Empire are always contentious, with Guild operations on the Isle needing to abide by heavy Thousand Scales restrictions and its interests in the Threshold demanding defense sometimes by negotiation and sometimes by threat of escalation.

It is convention in the salons of the Scarlet Dynasty to look down upon the Guild and its members, but it is in the halls of power where Saffron needs exert influence, a difficult balance to strike: even some vehemently opposed to the Guild oft show respect for the factor's talents in walking this tightrope. Among the connections she wields to secure invitations and introductions, Saffron directly controls the Guild's Scavenger Economy imports and exports on the Isle, as well as the trade in gemstones and jewelry. Her known regular associates include Ledaal Montegnin, Ragara Raman, Peleps Jaffar, and Mnemon Sukano.

A willingness to join in denigration of House Nellens has seen that House call for her dismissal on more than one occasion... this alone has secured her invitations to more than one Dynastic salon.

She currently resides in the Imperial City's Western Embassy.
