V'neef Mahara is a daughter of the Scarlet Empress, one of many who was never granted a Great House. She instead dwelt in the Palace, first demonstrating mastery of koto music and singing, then occupying her time as a sponsor of performance and fine art. Her Gala of Perfected Performance is perhaps the most regarded event of the year amongst the artistic set.
When House V'neef was founded, Mahara accepted adoption by V'neef. She occupies an important post within that House, managing many matters relating to the Imperial Palace.
