The Honorable and Humble Caretakers of the Common Folk, occasionally known colloquially as the Home Office, are one of the largest ministries of the Thousand Scales. Every prefect and every municipal governor, along with their staff, is a member of the Caretakers. They are responsible for the well-being of the Blessed Isle and its residents, ensuring that they are able to contribute labour to the projects and taxes to the coffers of the Realm.
