The Magical Materials are highly prized, forming the core components of artifice both magitechnological and otherwise. But their pure forms are not the only thing the Magical Materials can offer: the savants of the Golden Age, and those of Autocthtonia, are familiar with the blending of magical materials both with each other and with mundane or occult components in order to combine the properties of differing materials, or even create new effects entirely. Even in the current age, some alloys (such as Jade Steel) remain well-known, and less common substances are unearthed by Creation’s Scavenger Economy or experimented with by sorcerer-engineers to feed the demands of the artificers and Factory Cathedrals who still thirst for such powerful materials to further their work.
