Remembered Needle

Remembered Needle is a mortal citizen of the Realm, currently serving as a sage and technician within the 2nd Imperial Legion out of Vatamu. Needle was formerly a senior overseer of thaumaturges with the Bureau of Climatic Deliberations, before that institution released him after severe funding cuts. Without the support of the Thousand Scales, Needle found a history of secularist statements meant the Immaculate Order refused to declare him sufficiently pure to qualify for a thaumaturgy license from the Secretariat of Minor Charms and Baubles. Without license, having knowledge of thaumaturgy meant he was guilty of crimes by both Realm law and Immaculate doctrine, and so he accepted a low position within the Special Operations unit of the 2nd Legion, whose commander used his influence to secure protective licensing.

While having some experience with magitechnology, Needle's senior post with the Weather Control Ministry required prediction of future patterns and dealings with weather spirits, leaving him with some knowledge of both Astrology and Old Realm.
