Pious Purse

Pious Purse is a merchant of The Guild, currently serving on the staff of the Guild embassy in the Imperial City under factor Blue Saffron. Where Saffron cultivates relations among the salons of the Scarlet Dynasty, Purse works more closely with House Nellens, House Ragara, and the Patrician Clans, with a focus on loans and finance. He also has involvement in the slave industry, though the Imperial Monopolies mean arrangement of sale must take place beyond the shores of the Blessed Isle: House Cynis guards its exclusive control of the flesh trade jealously, and so such sales are invariably undertaken by those with an agenda at odds with that Great House, a fact which has earned Purse the undying enmity of the Palace of Trees.

Though such arrangements doubtless furnish Purse with a significant cut to bolster his own wealth, this hostility may have contributed to keeping Purse in subordinate position to factor-ambassador Saffron, Guild leadership perhaps unwilling to irk House Cynis by elevating an ambassador for whom they have distaste.

He currently resides in the Imperial City's Western Embassy.
