Peleps Latana is a Water-aspected Senator of the House Peleps caucus in the Deliberative, wife of fellow Senator Cynis Olchao. Together they have several children, including mortal daughter Peleps Inglesa (who serves as Latana’s page in the Deliberative).

During her Legion service, Latana served as commander of a Manta-class Transport. While that skyship was seconded to the 25th Imperial Legion for combat operations against a swift Anathema alongside the Wyld Hunt, it suffered severe damage from that evil creature’s sabotage. Faced with impending catastrophic destruction, Latana personally entered the vehicle’s Essence core to regain control of its energies, allowing the vessel to crash-land without an explosion that would have obliterated its valuable components and caused the deaths of several ranking officers from the 5th and 25th Legions. The energies unleashed upon Latana during this disaster meant that even her Exallted physiology has never been able to fully heal her, and she continues to walk with a limp… though some whisper that the ornate cane she favours is used to draw attention to her past act of heroism as she negotiates with others and dismisses her opponents.

Senator Latana has long been a supporter of expanding the Thousand Scales, and has decried the serious cuts which have been implemented in recent years, warning that they risk weakening the Realm and Creation along with it. However, despite what many consider hyperbolic language in debate, Latana remains a consummate politician rather than an idealist, and has been seen to abandon her defense of certain causes or principles when there are backroom deals or political advantage to be had.
