Division of Divine Order

The investigative and judicial branch of the Bureau of Heaven’s Department of Celestial Concerns, the Division of Divine Order is charged with enforcing the laws of Heaven and auditing spirits who might have broken them. It is also tasked with securing Heaven itself, standing guard over the Heavenly Gates and locations of particular import such as the Jade Pleasure Dome and the embassy of the Yozi in Heaven.

The current Daimyo of the Division is Ringan, god of Guardians, supported by an administrative staff of law and magistracy gods. The Division is also a potent military force: in addition to numerous Lion Dogs and Scarab Guardians, the Division commands the full host of ten thousand Celestial Lions, a force which has proven its power (though also its shortcomings) in the War of the Gods. Many consider the Aerial Legion to be Yu Shan’s most powerful military force with good reason, but it is not only convention which means few see threat from that army upon the Bureau of Heaven: should any think to challenge the Bureau by direct attack, it is certain the one-hundred and twenty-five Censors, amongst the most powerful of the Lesser Elemental Dragons, would join the Lion host in the defense of their Bureau.

The major offices of the Division are the Ministry of Celestial Censors, the Department of Proper Passage through Heavenly Ways, and the Department of Peculiar Matters of Special Import.
