Ragara Calel Bomgata is an Earth-aspected Senator of House Ragara's Deliberative caucus. He is a grandson to Ragara Calel and great-grandson of prince Ragara, married to fellow Senator Ragara Leril and father to numerous offspring over the centuries, including Ragara Dendas and Ragara Fernguli.

Bomgata has long been involved in matters of banking and loans, perhaps the largest individual player in loans within the Scarlet Prefecture. Given the concentration of Dynasts and powerful patricians around the Capital, this makes Bomgata a Dynast of particular influence. Some muse his Senate appointment was not driven by personal desire but by that of debtors hoping legislative debate would serve as a distraction.

Bomgata's voting record shows him to be a House loyalist, though some observe a marked difference with his spouse when it comes to regulation of banking in the Realm: Bomgata is a consistent supporter of deregulation, arguing that the demands of reputation in the banking industry mean natural self-regulation would be far more effective than any intervention by the Realm's bureaucracy.
