Ledaal Maratin (deceased RY620) was a water-aspected shipping magnate and Senator of House Ledaal’s caucus in the Deliberative. Maratin was a resident of the Imperial City, who served a lengthy span in the Deliberative. His children include senator Ledaal Maratin Maratin, who took up his seat in the Senate upon his death.

On the Deliberative floor, Maratin the Elder developed many alliances with Senators who now form the elders of the Greater Chamber, such as Ledaal Yashiva and Tepet Mavariq. His voting record shows him to have been highly supportive of expanding the scale and responsibilities of various ministries in the Thousand Scales.

Maratin had long lobbied for the post of Master of the Deliberative, but despite securing nomination in numerous Election of Officers votes never managed to secure sufficient support before his death in RY620. Maratin the Elder is entombed at Toribeno in the Scarlet Prefecture.
