Parak Atoll
Parak Atoll is a coral island embracing a shallow lagoon, in the seas of the Southwestern Threshold.
The Parak Atoll is not permanently inhabited and has no sources of fresh water (nor metals) to support a local population. Its lagoon does, however, provide sheltered anchor for passing ships caught in ill-weather, and winds have brought soil and rain to settle and support small groves of coconut trees which can be exploited for food and wood.
Recently, war canoes from the nearby Suzerainty of Bushan have spent considerable time on the Atoll, planting flags and building up structures to assert sovreignty over the island. Though the atoll itself has little of value, it sits between Bushan to the east, the Winding Isles to the northwest, and the currents passing Highcliff to the southwest, holding it a strategic advantage for a state with an eye on further expansion.
