Ilithya-Lura is the god of Childbearing and Birth, serving as Daimyo of the Division of Birth in the Bureau of Heaven. She is ever-swollen with child and constantly in the throes of birth, a stream of gods and Godblooded emerging from her womb, for just as a child is born of its mother the Least God of that child is born from Ilithya-Lura before flying to its destination once a soul has anchored, Ilithya-Lura sharing the joys and suffering of each and every birth that occurs in Heaven and Creation both.

In addition to the least gods she constantly births, Ilithya-Lura also bears more potent gods and Godblooded. She is a god of bearing and birth, but cares little for the fate of children once these acts are done, abandoning them to the world as yet more children issue. Some perish, but those that survive oft find themselves bound in her service, serving to staff her Division.

Seeking to expand her purview, she has often schemed against the gods of contraceptives, seeking to distract them from their work, and has recently begun to scheme with more destructive gods of war and pestilence, knowing that such times of death and torment drive mortals to bring ever more new life into the world.

Neverending childbirth is difficult to bear, even for a god, and Ilithya-Lura remains ensconced in the offices of her Division, her words to subordinates and visitors more moaning than Old Realm. Her deputies in the Division, who know the intentions of their mother, serve as translators to convey her meaning.
