Tepet Berel Bergilis was the son of senator Tepet Aedmillia and Legion officer Carpenter Tadamako. A graduate of the House of Bells, Bergilis had a reputation as a competent warrior and vanguard commander, albeit one with a tendency to pad his own accomplishments in the retelling.

Bergilis served during the War with the Bull. He was commended for his bravery and endurance when he led a force of Dragonblooded to attempt to restore contact with the 9th Imperial Legion after strategoi Tepet Mallon had led it into Halta in the Battle of the Redwoods in RY763. When this force itself was cut off by Fair Folk attacks, Bergilis led the wirthdrawal of his forces in good order, living off the land and emerging shortly thereafter having suffered minimal casualties.

Bergilis fell in the Battle of Futile Blood, where he volunteered to command the forward line as the Tepet Legions made their last stand against the armies of the Anathema.

Bergilis had a prolific line, with a total of twelve sons and daughters. All were also killed in the War with the Bull, ending his line.
