The Three Perfected Styles of Calligraphy are a set of calligraphic approaches to shaping the complex characters of Old Realm, consisting of the Five Harmonious Angles Style perfected by the Immaculate of Earth Pasiap, and the Whirlwind Brush Method & Virtuous Pen Technique perfected by the Immaculate of Air Mela, as demonstrated in the text The Immaculate Brush.
The Styles are considered by many to be the pinnacle of all writing, the ideal to which all calligraphy aspires. When the words of the Immaculate Texts must be formed, in any language, this must be done in accordance to one of the Three Styles.
While not of occult power in of themselves, the Three Perfected Styles see use in artifice and geomancy, where the right words or symbols in the right script with the right materials can create a work potent enough to serve as an Exotic Component. For example, a Manufactory Cathedral might mark its support struts with ancient Old Realm prayers in Five Harmonious Angles Style upon purified Orichalcum plates, in order to concentrate the power of its divine benefactor.
