For every message, there is a god, a Least God which sees to that missive’s travel from its source to its destination. As with most such spirits it is more mechanism than being, appearing and vanishing as the communication reaches its recipient.

But not all messages are created equal... sometimes a single signal can turn the tides of battle, a whispered comment fell a king, an imperial command end a dynasty. The gods of messages with great destinies, grand roles to play, reflect the power of their purviews and often persist past their duties, gathered up by Meldre of the Division of Journeys to assist her in her role as god of Communication. These gods, appearing as hummingbird-like spirits with scrollcase bodies, take direct responsibility for much of the communication between the various divisions in the Celestial Bureaucracy, delivering reports and missives between offices and functionaries (particularly within the Bureau of Destiny).
