Location: Great Coast Road near the gates of the Imperial City (Scarlet Prefecture)

Description: The Shading Sycamore Temple is a small Immaculate temple located just outside the Imperial City, where the Great Coast Road turns northwest south of the Gate of Eternal Harmony. It is dedicated to Ancient Stone of Journeys, god of the Great Coast Road and of travel across the whole of the Blessed Isle. The temple walls are of white Marble, its floors of black Marble, the whole separated from the stables and tenements around it by a wall of fruiting Sycamore trees.

As with many roadside shrines to the Ancient, the Immaculate Prayer Calendar allows for (in fact encourages) those travelling along the Great Coast Road to offer a prayer of thanks to the god for his diligence.

Once each year, during Calibration, the Ancient’s sanctum accessed from within the temple receives guests from amongst the road and travel gods across Creation, who assemble for the Banquet of Tireless Treadings.
