Sunstone

Appearance: A bright orange-yellow stone, with a beautiful golden sheen, and an intense glow that matches the progress of the Sun through the sky.

Description: Across Creation, the stone has a negative reputation, despite being incredibly rare: it is said to be a component in the most vile and debased rituals of Anathema and diabolists, stealing a fragment of Sol’s light. Sunstone is regulated in the Realm, where mortals are barred from possessing it and its use by Dynasts frowned upon by the Immaculate Order... with her gone, a few Threshold courts and the occasional Dynastic scion can be seen bearing the gemstone to surround themselves in its radiant halo. It is found as part of many ancient instruments designed to keep track of time in the short-term, and of artifacts channeling Solar essence.
