Soaring Hemp

Soaring Hemp is a type of Hemp plant found across Creation, with its origins traced to the Scavenger Lands and the Southeastern Threshold.

Soaring Hemp is used for fibres, in much the way of other hemp plants, but is favoured particularly for its properties as a drug. In small quantities it serves to bring on relaxation and mild euphoria, along with increased appetite. As quantities increase, hallucinogenic visions may be experienced. It is sometimes used medicinally to counter pain and encourage those without appetite to eat.

The plant’s leaves and buds are used to produce the drug, dried and smoked, though fresh and dried leaves are also added to cooking.

As it is common, the Guild does not stand to gain much with its sale, but in areas of the far North, South, and West where the plant will not grow it profits from trade in the drug.
