Silken Society

The Silken Society is an office of the Bureau of Nature’s Hierarchy of Type, though its specific placement within the Bureau is subject of some dispute. It is overseen by Daimyo of Arachnids Ananasa, god of Spiders and Spider Silk.

Ananasa has long objected to the placement of the Silken Society within the Committee of Notch and Number, arguing that he ought be awarded the title of Eminence of Arachnids. He, and most other gods within the Society, pointedly refuse to acknowledge that spiders are insects.

This is not, however, universal, as the Scorpion gods working within the Silken Society do not consider themselves to be ‘spiders’. These form a bloc ostensibly loyal to the Committee of Notch and Number… though several such gods have been spotted conducting meetings with gods of the Crustacean Convocation.
