Resplendent Shield of Valor

Resplendent Shield is a reinforced breastplate of orichalcum, its blocky shape revealing its origins in the low First Age. Like many of the artifacts designed for the war against the Primordials and the pushes against the Wyld that followed, it is simple and functional, without the magitech complexities or rounded aesthetic that emerged in the closing centuries of the First Age. It is unadorned save for the name of its intended wearer, the Dawn caste Scourge of Woe, marked in Old Realm along the top of the central chest plate.

Resplendent Shield did not hold up to the glorious armours of the high First Age, its owner relegating it to status as a display piece or to gird a new incarnation in its earliest and least capable days. As paranoia gripped Scourge with the passage of time, the breastplate and similar pieces were distributed to emergency caches across Creation.
