Nellens Irvan

Nellens Irvan is an elderly Water-aspected Dynast, with extensive interests in lumber and shipbuilding across the near Threshold. Irvan is the only Exalt among his siblings and vast brood of offspring, leading many in the Scarlet Dynasty to whisper that his mother sought outside aid in seeding her womb... saying this to his face is categorically offensive, but the status of House Nellens within the Dynasty means few hesitate to do so despite (or perhaps because of) his wealth and industrial power.

Irvan's lumber interests include significant holdings in Teak and Coastal Conifer, both of which are highly sought by interests in need of ships: paramount among them the Imperial Navy and House Peleps. Irvan has close associations with several Dynasts involved in such matters, including Peleps Danan and Peleps Staemos.

Such associations have tended to put Irvan at odds with the key rival of the Peleps, House V'neef. He is also known to have a longstanding rivalry with his cousin Nellens Spolumbo, for while their respective wood and pork interests show little overlap their lines have oft competed over marriages and both have significant interest in Sweet Potato agriculture.
