Mnemon Krishandra is a Senator of the House Mnemon caucus in the Deliberative. Before her appointment to the Senate, Krishandra had undertaken a long career in the Realm's Foreign Office, culminating in a half-century as satrap of Varangia. Some whispered that the Deliberative appointment was issued by the Scarlet Empress to prevent a loyalist to princess Mnemon from ascending to the post of Most Knowledgeable Advisor on Foreign Tributaries.

Krishandra has long been the most active and most knowledgeable of the Mnemon senators when it comes to Threshold affairs. In legislative record, she has argued that the Realm must take a firmer stance against tribal violence and raiding in Harborhead to protect the Varang cities, and supported the deployment of the Imperial Legions in the War with the Bull. Krishandra gained few friends in the Tepet caucus when she continued to hold this position as the military situation grew worse, opposing any talk of withdrawal as an "abandonment of those Legions' moral commitment to stand by the Linowan and our other tribal tributaries".
