‘Misassumptions’ is a complex and nigh-unintelligible text, which offers no clue as to meaning or content.
That is, at least, for a reader with less than 4 dots each in Craft Fire, Craft Air, and Occult. For a reader with 4 dots or more, it is a highly technical critique of the magitech field known as microtheurgy, as it relates to the production of control arrays for warstriders. Gemstone Monsoon Daughter asserts that the replication of divine pantheons on increasingly miniature scales, while it produces desired results, is flawed at its base: it attempts to replicate the systems of Creation, when in fact the ideal that SHOULD be replicated is that of Celestial Exaltation, which tears asunder the limitations of Creation to achieve even greater things. Only this route, Daughter asserts, can reach the true heights of which a warstrider is capable. Rather than microtheurgy, a warstrider must be controlled by channelling essence through the lens of a soul worthy of Exaltation, infusing the motes with that soul’s unrealized potential as it resonates with the fulfilled potential of the pilot. A number of microtheurgic warstrider systems are critiqued in detail, along with replacement components using Soulsteel and Yasal Crystal that can accomplish Daughter’s ideal. How the souls she values so greatly can be identified and captured in the first place is, however, not explained in the text, though there are some references to Cyclic Condensation of Power Potential within the Reincarnatory Framework – An innovative thesis from Creation’s foremost Expert.
The book can serve as a training manual for Craft Fire (Ability) – Warstriders, requiring a minimum of Craft Fire 4, Craft Air, and Occult.
