Ledaal Ujal is a Senator of House Ledaal's Deliberative caucus, known to be a practitioner of Wood Dragon Style martial arts and a political ally of senator Ledaal Mercurio. Some years ago, he unsuccessfully called for legislation to see any increases in spending tied to increases in taxes to pay for them, accompanied by commitment of any surplus in tax revenues to immediate increases in spending.

Senator Ujal is considered something of a moderate, in both legislative agenda and view of the Immaculate Faith… a position for which he suffered significantly in RY764, when he openly criticized the theological position of sister Peleps Deham, nestor of the Temple of the Arbiter of the Immaculate Complaint, whose positions he termed 'extremist' and 'divergent'. Nestor Deham challenged the Senator to a test of Immaculate mastery and defeated him in a duel of Immaculate martial arts, injuring him severely and forcing him to withdraw from the City for several months to convalesce on the coast. Though many privately tuttered at the violence, no official censure or objection over such a public beating emerged from the Palace Sublime, House Ledaal, or the Throne. On his return, despite the social and theological norm that his defeat marked his stance as without merit, Ujal has refused to abandon his criticisms.
