Lapis Lazuli

Appearance: A royal, vivid blue opaque stone with occasional white veins or patches and a few gold-looking metallic flecks.

Description: The stone is said to increase prescience and perception of Essence, and be helpful to spiritual teachers. Traditionally believed to increase mental clarity, virility, and calm, to be powerful during meditation, and to help transcend trivia and move closer to higher consciousness. Used for cosmetics and painting (most frequently as eye shadow make-up) Believed by some in the Western Threshold to be a sacred stone, buried with the dead to protect and guide them in the afterlife.
