The Jewel of the Blazing Gate is a large stone, a perfect deep-blue cube with a pulsing crimson center. Born of the Blazing Gate, a manse constructed of pure fire which marks the path to the Elemental Pole itself, the hearthstone holds a powerful connection to the deepest South and to the court of the Elemental Dragon Hesiesh.

Attunement to the Jewel connects the bearer subtly to the South and to the element of Fire. All fire damage (mundane or magical) dealt to the bearer is halved, before soak. Furthermore, possession of this Hearthstone greatly facilitates the summoning of fire elementals, reducing by half the time involved (to a minimum of one hour) and the cost in motes (to a minimum of 3m). When a fire elemental is summoned and the summoner bargains for its services rather than binding it, the summoner regainst the Willpower point spent on the spell/ritual.

A Fire-aspected Dragonblood who bears this hearthstone counts their Breeding as one dot higher, to a maximum of 6, as long as the stone remains in contact with their bare skin, and the draconic form of great Hesiesh himself can be seen moving through the fires of their anima banner. Dragonblooded of other aspects, and those who are able to use Dragonblooded charms (such as Eclipse-caste Solars) instead do not pay an elemental surcharge on Fire-aspected Dragonblooded Charms so long as the hearthstone remains in contact with their skin.
